2018 is already coming to a close. This year, your passion for organ music was contagious, *|FNAME|* !

We celebrated one of our most successful Festivals yet. What were your favorite memories of the Canadian International Organ Competition? We've reviewed the last 12 months and came up with our list of the 7 most memorable moments.

7- Alcée Chriss on Tour

Vancouver, Victoria, Parksville, Lévis, Québec, Montréal: this CIOC Laureate hasn't stopped!

Next up? Recording his debut CD, courtesy of last year's CIOC win. We're recording the project with ATMA Classique at Montreal's Maison symphonique.

6- We're moving!

New year, new office space! The CIOC is moving to the Centre de créativité du Gesù to be even closer to Montreal's finest organs. You can help with this move by donating to the CIOC!

5- John Grew's New Prize

The Prix d'excellence was given to John Grew by the Conseil du patrimoine religieux du Québec for his work as Artistic Director of the CIOC.

4- Immaculée's Reinauguration

The CIOC was an important partner of the Immaculée-Conception Church Beckerath Organ restoration along with organbuilders Juget-Sinclair.

3- CIOC 2020 Full Tilt Ahead

The next CIOC competition will take place in October 2020. The jury a has been chosen, the preliminary round repertoire  is up on our website and the CIOC team is working on the rules and required repertoire for the Competition. Encourage candidates by giving to the CIOC. On behalf of these young professionals, thanks!

2- Festival: 5000 tickets sold

With 20 concerts, 3 sold-out events and 5000 music-lovers at our Festival, we can say without a shadow of a doubt that this has been our most exciting year!

1- Jean-Willy Kunz Named as Artistic Director of the CIOC

Jean-Willy Kunz, OSM organist-in-residence and CIOC Laureate, was recently named Artistic Director, following John Grew's retirement. Congrats Jean-Willy!
