The 2020 CIOC Virtual Organ Festival continues!

We’ve reached the midway point of our 2020 Virtual Organ Festival, and we’ve seen some outstanding performances! Missed some concerts? Don’t worry, all of our 2020 Festival content is still available to view on the CIOC YouTube channel. Whether you want to catch up or re-watch some of your favourites, you’ll find it there!

Rosemarie Tougas and Laurence Jobidon

 

This week, we are pleased to welcome Québec organists Rosemarie Tougas and Laurence Jobidon. Rosemarie will present the Prelude and Fugue and E Minor by J.S. Bach on the CIOC’s newly inaugurated Bach-Mobile. Laurence will play one of her own compositions, Réconciliation, on the magnificent Casavant organ at Saint-Pierre-Claver Church.

Festival des couleurs de l'orgue français: View online!


This Sunday, Adrian Foster will present the final concert of the Festival des couleurs de l’orgue français at the Grand Séminaire de Montréal. He will play music by Hambraeus, Glass, Muhly, Vasks, and some of his own compositions.

Pipes on Wheels! 


The festival doesn’t end this weekend! Stay tuned for three more stunning performances by Nicholas Capozzoli on the Bach-Mobile, recorded in front of Saints-Anges in Lachine. The 2017 CIOC third-prize winner will present works by Elgar, Albright, and Saint-Saëns.

2021 CIOC competitors Tyler Bohmer and Andrew Morris are staying busy! Not only are they preparing for the CIOC, but they are both the only North American contestants in the upcoming International Organ Competition of Korea, and Tyler is preparing for next year's Concours d'orgue de Québec. Don't miss their upcoming degree recitals in the Bales Organ Recital Hall at the University of Kansas (organ by Hellmuth Wolff & Associés, Laval!)
