Maria Gajraj plays Duruflé and Messiaen

The CIOC presents Maria Gajraj, performing works by Maurice Duruflé and Olivier Messiaen as part of the 2020 Virtual Organ Festival. Recorded at Saint-Jean-Baptiste church in Montréal.

Maria Gajraj is a Montréal-based pianist and organist. She is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Organ Performance and Church Music, studying with Hans-Ola Ericsson. She graduated with Distinction in 2019 from Carleton University, where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Music, studying the organ with Jennifer Loveless. Maria has had a private piano teaching studio for the past six years. She has been working within churches of various denominations for the past five years, playing for choirs, soloists, and instrumentalists, and directing choirs.
