Job Opportunity: Marketing & Social Media Coordinator

Are you passionate about social media and eager to make your mark in the non-profit arts sector? The Canadian International Organ Competition (CIOC) is seeking a Marketing & Social Media Coordinator to join our dynamic team based in downtown Montreal, QC. 

About Us: The CIOC is a prestigious organ playing competition and music festival celebrated worldwide. With our flagship triennial international competition and annual fall festival, along with other live concert events and digital productions, we have garnered a dedicated following. As we gear up for our 2024 international competition, we are looking to expand our reach and attract new supporters through innovative marketing campaigns and engaging social media content. 

Key Responsibilities: As the Marketing & Social Media Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in promoting our 2024 international organ competition and strengthening the CIOC brand online. Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Coordinating communications, advertising, and marketing campaigns, and bi-weekly newsletter. 
  • Collaborating with team members to brainstorm creative marketing initiatives. 
  • Developing and curating compelling content for social media platforms. 
  • Engaging with our audience by responding to messages and comments. 
  • Assisting in creating and editing written, video, and photo content. 
  • Producing live social media coverage during events. 
  • Providing administrative support, including maintaining records and creating editorial calendars. 
  • Analyzing metrics and preparing reports to track the effectiveness of our marketing efforts. 

Qualifications: We are looking for a candidate who possesses the following skills and qualifications: 

  • A strong passion for social media and digital marketing. 
  • Proficiency with major social media platforms and management tools. 
  • Self-motivated with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities. 
  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills. 
  • Familiarity with Office365 platforms is a plus. 
  • Personable, positive attitude with strong communication skills. 
  • Bilingual in French and English. 

Compensation and working conditions: $20.00/hour (with the potential for negotiation based on experience). 15-20 hours per week, hybrid schedule.
